After careful consideration of the safety and wellbeing of attendees, speakers, and staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Public Media Development and Marketing Conference (PMDMC) originally scheduled for July 21-24 in Atlanta.
This event is the highlight of our year. It’s a time to come together to be inspired by one another, focus on professional development, and learn the things that allow public media to fulfill its essential public service. These are things we need now more than ever.
That’s why we at Greater Public are turning our planning efforts and brainpower toward a series of summer events that will do just that. I will share more details about these exciting events very soon.
Starting Friday, May 15th Greater Public will begin issuing full refunds to all PMDMC 2020 attendees via your original payment method. These refunds will be completed by the end of May. If you have questions about your refund, please get in touch. If you made a hotel reservation using the PMDMC room block it will be automatically canceled by the Marriott Marquis Atlanta by Friday, May 15th. You will receive a confirmation email when the cancelation has been processed.
We’re disappointed that we won’t be together in Atlanta in July, but I truly can’t wait to share with you what we have in store.
Until then, be well.
